Don't eat animals

So why not eat meat. Here are some facts:

1- Meat is not Green:

2- Because its the cause of hunger and high prices:

There is more than enough food in the world to feed the entire human population. So why are more than 840 million people still going hungry?1 Our meat-based diet is partly to blame, as land, water, and other resources that could be used to grow food for human beings are being used to grow crops for farmed animals instead. According to a recent report by Compassion in World Framing, "crops that could be used to feed the hungry are instead being used to fatten animals raised for food." It takes up to 10 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of edible animal flesh.

3- Its bad for body:
According to Dr. Fuhrman white meats are no savior:
"Red met is not the only problem. The consumption of chicken and fish is also linked to colon cancer. A large recent study examined the eating habits of 32,000 adults for six years and then watched the incidence of cancer for these subjects over the next six years. Those who avoided red meat but at white meat regularly had a more than 300 percent increase in colon cancer incidence.3 The same study showed that eating beans, peas, or lentils, at least twice a week was associated with a 50 percent lower risk than never eating these foods.
Chicken has about the same amount of cholesterol as beef, and the production of those potent cancer-causing compounds called heterocyclic amines (HCAs) are even more concentrated in grilled chicken than in beef.4 Another recent study from New Zealand that investigated heterocyclic amines in meat, fish, and chicken found the greatest contributor of HCAs to cancer risk was chicken.5 Likewise, studies indicated that chicken is almost as dangerous as red meat for the heart. Regarding cholesterol, there is no advantage to eating lean white instead of lean red meat"

4- Ugly Facts

Meats contain waste products that the animal did not get to eliminate, and toxic hormones and fluids released into the blood stream and tissues at the moment of the death of the terrified animal.
An animal's cellular life continues after death. The cells continue to produce waste materials which are trapped in the blood and decaying tissues. The nitrogenous extracts which are trapped in the animal's muscles are partially responsible for the flavor of the cooked meat.
Humans who eat the livers of the animals are bombarded with an even greater concentration of waste products and toxic substances. The liver, being the filtering organ of the body, is loaded with elements the body cannot use, which are trapped in the liver and remain there. Liver eaters are treated to higher concentrations of mercury and artificial hormones, plus other "goodies" that remain in the animal's disposal system.
Liver increases, even more than muscle meat, the amount of creatine in the urine. Creatinuria (abnormal amounts of creatine in the urine) is involved in endocrine (glandular) disorders.
Meat not only harbors the bacteria infecting the living animal, but it may also carry molds, spores, yeasts and bacilli picked up during postmortem handling.
A book on meat processing explains that the flesh becomes more tender and palatable by the process of ripening, hanging and maturing (aging). Vic Sussman, in The Vegetarian Alternative, pp. 149-150, says, "Few meat eaters would like to hear the words putrefaction, rigor mortis, and rotting applied to their sirloin and pot roast. But flesh is flesh, though the euphemisms ripening, toughening and enzymatic action are kinder to the ear.

5- Osho on meat eating [Very Interesting video] :  How abt this. Try it

Vegetarianism is not about morality or religiousness. It is a question of aesthetics: one's sensitivity, one's respect, one's reverence for life. Osho says, “Vegetarianism has nothing to do with religion: it is something basically scientific. It has nothing to do with morality, but it has much to do with aesthetics.”
Osho shares, “Vegetarianism is nothing but a by-product of deep meditation. If a person goes on meditating, by and by he will see that it has become impossible to eat meat.”
“Vegetarianism is a conscious effort, a deliberate effort, to get out of the heaviness that keeps you tethered to the earth so that you can fly -- so that the flight from the alone to the alone becomes possible.”

The fallen swami

Recent news of Swami Nithyananda being found in compromised positions with some women made a huge uproar and he was put behind bars. He may be on the path to become Swami, who is master of senses, but nature duped him well. He was a old thug as reported by breaking news channels.

I got this from Times of India where the author sees nature as plotter. It devises this idea of propagation of species by providing several promotional schemes to get the job done. The physical and physiological pressures are created within us to satisfy surge of sex which is merely a soft packaging of the idea to give birth. But human as they always do, challenged this procreation of nature and devised contraception to avoid birth. However nature made sure that the result of such recreational sex remains in the form of sensory impressions in the mind (vasnaas) which in turn keep the flare up for the next gust of passion. So the next challenge for humans becomes to win over these gusts of passion.

Nithyananda, the fallen Swami, like us is some where on the path to learn. I will just let him be..

My Name is DV Gandhi

My name is Deep Ved Gandhi. I m touting like SRK did in his recent flick MNIK. So you must be wondering why a new surname. Well why not! My friend just gave me this brilliant idea. According to him some people get direct benefits for being gandhi, khan etc. So here I m., from now on I m Deep Ved Gandhi. Recently Varun Gandhi got the post in BJP core committee even after brazen remarks spouted during an election rally. Rahul baba is known for everything now a days - youth icon, prince charming, eligible bachelor, great ruler and even future Indian PM . Well who says whats in name, come to india and everything is in name only. So now I m DV Gandhi.
In-fact everyone should suffix a Gandhi to their surname to show the love and reap the benefits.
